Home / Container Loading Supervision in China
Container Loading Supervision (CLS), sometimes called "container loading check", is the final step in the manufacturing process. Performed at the manufacturer's warehouse or forwarder's premises, our inspector monitors the entire loading process to identify any issues.
A CLS helps you make sure that the final details of your product are correct and that the actual ordered quantity is securely loaded into your container before settling final payment.
The inspector arrives before the truck does. While the container is still empty, its interior is photographed and checked for cleanliness, damp, odour and structural damage — a wet or tainted box ruins cargo faster than rough handling ever will.
As stuffing begins, carton counts are tallied against the packing list, a few cartons are opened to confirm the right models went in, and stacking, dunnage and weight distribution are watched load by load. At the end, the seal number is recorded and photographed before the doors close, so the box that leaves is the one you can trace.
It is a timeline as much as a report: arrival and departure times, weather, container and seal numbers, totals loaded, and photos at every stage. Forwarders and insurers accept it as evidence of what actually entered the box.
Wherever the goods meet the container: the manufacturer's yard, a consolidation warehouse when several suppliers share one box, or the forwarder's depot. Inspectors across 50+ Chinese cities reach port-area warehouses in Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao and Guangzhou without premium travel.
The inspector pauses and documents first: short cartons stay unloaded, damaged goods are set aside, and photos reach you immediately so the decision to stop, re-count or proceed is yours — made while the container is still standing on the ground, not mid-Pacific.
Most buyers book CLS straight after a passed final inspection, and the fixed fee for either service is quoted within one working day. Want the paperwork first? Request a sample CLS report from the download area, or read how product inspections check the goods before they are ever boxed.
