Laboratory Testing

CGF Inspection has a network of state-of-the-art laboratories providing chemical analysis, food microbiological testing, and physical product testing. We ensure your products meet all regulatory compliance requirements for your target markets.

  • Chemical laboratory testing
  • Food microbiological testing
  • Product safety & regulatory compliance
  • Material & component analysis
  • Physical & mechanical testing

How test coordination works

You describe the product and the destination market; the coordinator maps which standards apply — chemical limits for the EU, flammability or lead rules for the US, electrical safety for whichever plug the goods use — and prices each test separately, so you only pay for what your market actually demands. A fixed-fee quote for the chosen schedule comes back within one working day.

Samples then travel to accredited partner laboratories: pulled from bulk production by an inspector where the result must represent the shipment, or taken from the pilot run while you are still developing the product. The lab runs the schedule, and the coordinator chases progress so results arrive inside the quoted turnaround instead of drifting.

What the test report contains

  • Test methods referenced by standard, so your customers can verify them
  • Measured values next to the legal limit for each substance or property
  • Clear pass or fail conclusions per test item
  • Photos of the samples as received, linking results to your batch

How many samples does a test need?

It varies from one unit for a chemical screen to dozens for a destructive mechanical test. The coordinator confirms quantities per test when quoting, and an inspector can draw the required number at random from production so the lab sees typical output, not hand-picked pieces. Keep a few spare units aside either way — retests need fresh samples.

Before or after production — when should goods be tested?

Both moments matter. Development-stage testing proves the design and materials are compliant before tooling money is spent; pre-shipment testing on production samples proves the mass-produced article matches what was certified. Skipping the second half is how compliant prototypes turn into non-compliant containers.

Is laboratory testing only for export compliance?

No. Importers also test against their own tighter specifications — colour fastness for a private-label textile, cycle life for a battery product — using the same coordination route, with limits you define instead of the legal minimum.

Test reports pair naturally with on-site checks: a product inspection confirms the whole lot matches the sample that passed the lab. Example report formats are available through the download area; CGF has coordinated this workflow since 2017 across 50+ Chinese cities.
